Realization of a steel heating container with heat pump

S+P Samson is a leading company in the field of industrial identification technologies, specializing in the development of holistic identification concepts for production and logistics processes. The company relied on the expertise of the Alois Müller Group for an efficient and sustainable energy solution.

As part of the refurbishment of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems at the Kissing site, we implemented various measures to increase efficiency and integrate environmentally friendly technologies: A heating container weighing 12 tons and 9 m long with an associated heat pump (2 x 150 kW) and buffer system was implemented to optimize the heat supply. Two defective gas boilers were dismantled for this purpose. For efficient cooling, a heat exchanger and a buffer tank were installed to ensure the desired temperature conditions. The air duct network was renewed to improve the air quality in the production area.

Heat is generated by the heat pump located in the container with a total output of 300 kW, which is fed by the on-site well. The well is also used to cool the production hall through the ventilation system. A corresponding device was installed so that the heat pump can also be used for cooling all year round.

We took over the measurement and control technology, and the current I&C cabinet was replaced to ensure optimum control and efficiency.

Technical data Container:

  • Output: 2 x 150 kW
  • Fuel: Heat pump
