New high-tech innovation center
The Hightech Innovation Center Munich (HIC) is the new innovation center of the Würth Elektronik Group. The building offers the best conditions for driving forward research and development for pioneering solutions.
We implemented the heating, cooling and sanitary systems for the new building.
We installed a Combitherm groundwater heat pump with an output of 340/400 kW to supply the HIC with heat. The heat pump is supplemented by a 5,000 liter buffer tank. The building is also heated by underfloor heating over an area of approx. 1,600 m² and concrete core activation over approx. 4,800 m². In addition, 394 underfloor convectors were integrated to ensure even and efficient heat distribution.
Cooling is supplied via well water and plate heat exchangers as well as the heat pump with an output of 280 kW. A recooler on the roof provides 150 kW to dissipate the waste heat from the heat pump. 34 recirculating air cooling units were installed for the technical rooms and the data center is cooled by two precision air conditioning units with 62 kW each. Two buffer storage tanks, each with a capacity of 5,000 liters, are used to ensure the cooling supply.
In the sanitary area, we installed two Warmeco fresh water stations, which ensure hygienic hot water preparation. In addition, a grease separator was installed for the company restaurant to ensure waste water quality. A pressure booster system and two lifting stations ensure a reliable heat supply and waste water disposal throughout the building.
