Waste heat from biogas
In the district of Dickenreishausen in Memmingen, a district heating network is currently being built for the new development area with 33 house connections. There are also plans to connect existing buildings in the district to the heating network.
The network is fed by an existing biogas plant with CHP from where a district heating pipeline leads to the transfer station and the peak load boiler. Peak load coverage is provided by a liquid gas boiler. The total capacity of the heat generation is designed for the existing area as well as for a second new development area that is being built. A wood chip boiler will also be retrofitted to ensure security of supply.
Technical data
- Biogas plant with CHP
– thermal capacity approx. 450 kW - Liquid gas boiler for peak load coverage
– thermal output up to 550 kW - Final expansion: connection of 150 single-family houses
