HeidelbergCement AG
Convincing energy concept
After 3 years of construction, the new HeidelbergCement headquarters in Heidelberg was completed in 2020. The focus during the realization was especially on a high level of user comfort with the lowest possible energy consumption. With the use of innovative technologies, the high requirements for heating, ventilation, sanitary and cooling technology were realized. The ventilation center consists of 18 ventilation units with a capacity of 120,000 m3 /h. For this purpose, more than 10,000 m² of ventilation ducts were delivered from our own production facility, the Green Factory in Ungerhausen, and installed on site. The offices in the new headquarters are heated and cooled in a resource-saving manner with the help of district heating, geothermal energy and concrete core activation. Decentralized ventilation units were used for individual control.
