Combined heat and power unit
With an annual output of over 340,000 tons of malt and four plants, AVANGARD MALZ is the largest and leading malting plant in Germany. The malting locations are characterized by good water and rail connections and proximity to the most important malting barley growing areas, which allows for a flexible supply of raw materials – from regional to global.
In order to save energy and protect the environment, the malting group invests heavily in the energy supply of its plants. An energy network concept with combined heat and power and heat pump was implemented for the Lechfeld plant.
