Alois Müller with new company headquarters at Friedrichshafen
With the “Green Factory | The CO2-neutral Factory”, Alois Müller GmbH made positive headlines last year in terms of sustainability and resource efficiency. Now, the specialist for energy and building technology as well as industrial plant engineering is strengthening its reach at Lake Constance and moving into its new company headquarters.
The Alois Müller Group, headquartered in Ungerhausen (Unterallgäu), moved into its new and larger premises at Albert-Maier-Strasse 21 in Friedrichshafen at the beginning of the year. This gives the medium-sized family business more presence for its customers on Lake Constance and enables it to provide them with even better local support.
“The move to the new office building is due to the current success we are experiencing in the region of Friedrichshafen. In order to be able to shoulder the volume of orders in the future, we must continue to grow so that we can continue to support our customers from industry, medium-sized businesses and the public sector with our solid craftsmanship and well thought-out solutions. These are important customers who expect excellent service and a trusting partnership from their technology partner. So it was a logical step to further expand the location with branch management, project management and construction,” explains Andreas Müller, CEO of the Alois Müller Group.
According to Müller, there is growing interest in the concept of his CO2-neural factory on Lake Constance. The company called attention to itself last year with the Green Factory, when it was awarded with the Bavarian Energy Prize by the Free State of Bavaria. The green model factory is considered a successful example of how a cost- and energy-efficient CO2-neutral production environment can be realized in practice through the generation of solar power, the applied demand side management, the practiced sector coupling and an internal intelligent power grid (smart grid).
Customers on Lake Constance also benefit from the innovative production conditions at the Green Factory in Ungerhausen. “We can pre-assemble all components and assemblies there under top manufacturing conditions, which then only have to be installed on site at the customer’s premises. This high level of pre-assembly enables us to achieve a unique level of quality from which our customers benefit. In this way, projects can be realized more cost- and energy-efficiently than if welding still had to be carried out on the construction site,” explains Müller.
