Alois Müller Group supports “Woringen helps”
Christmas donation of 5,000 euros for people in Ukraine
As part of its sustainable business policy, the Alois Müller company is again supporting social projects in the run-up to Christmas this year. Under the motto “donate instead of give”, the company has supported the project “Woringen helps people in Ukraine” with a donation of 5,000 euros instead of customer gifts and Christmas cards. The initiators of the aid campaign accepted the donation on behalf of the company.
“Snow and cold exacerbate the humanitarian plight of millions of people in Ukraine. Food, medical products and clothing are in short supply, but the needs are enormous. Together with the municipality of Woringen, we want to support especially elderly people, women and children on site and therefore do without Christmas presents for our customers and business partners,” emphasized CEO Andreas Müller during the handover and placed the campaign under the motto “donate instead of give”.
Mayor Jochen Lutz is pleased about the donation and explains: “The hometown of our Woringen citizen Alina Karrer is the city of Berdytschiw in the Ukraine, about 192 km southwest of the capital Kiev. The war has already fully reached Berdychiv for months. The effects for the inhabitants are catastrophic. We are all the more pleased that the Alois Müller company is supporting the project with this donation and that vital goods can be purchased as a result.”
Following the initiative of the Alina and Karl-Heinz Karrer family to help the people directly on site, an incredibly large aid community has already come together. Since the beginning of the war, relief supplies have been collected, sorted and prepared for the trip to Ukraine. Alina Karrer’s father Nikolai and acquaintances of the family pick up the relief supplies in Woringen and take them directly to Berdychiv, thus ensuring that the aid also reaches the people on the ground directly.
