Focus on energy in Upper Swabia
Alois Müller Group opens new branch in Biberach
Ungerhausen/Biberach. With the “Green Factory | The CO2-neutral Factory”, the Alois Müller Group has made positive headlines in recent years in terms of sustainability and resource efficiency. Now the specialist for energy and building technology as well as industrial plant engineering is strengthening its sphere of activity in Upper Swabia and moving into its new branch.
The Alois Müller Group, headquartered in Ungerhausen (Unterallgäu), has now moved into its new premises at Bahnhofstraße 14 in Biberach. This gives the medium-sized family business a greater presence for its customers in Upper Swabia and enables it to provide them with even better local support. A friendly and spacious office area with three workstations, a meeting room and 11 rooms for fitters and students of the Alois Müller Group has been created at the new location.
“The new branch is due to the current success we are seeing in the region around Biberach. In order to be able to shoulder the volume of orders in the future, we must continue to grow so that we can continue to support our customers from industry, medium-sized businesses and the public sector with our solid craftsmanship and well thought-out solutions. These are important customers who expect excellent service and a trusting partnership from their technology partner. So it was only logical to develop this location,” explains Andreas Müller, Managing Director of the Alois Müller Group.
According to branch manager Ingo Huchler, there is growing interest in the concept of the CO2-neutral factory in the Biberach region. The company drew attention to itself last year with the Green Factory when it was awarded the Bavarian Energy Prize by the Free State of Bavaria, among others. The green model factory is considered a successful example of how a cost- and energy-efficient CO2-neutral production environment can be realized in practice through the generation of solar power, the applied demand side management, the practiced sector coupling and an internal intelligent power grid (smart grid).
Also on board in the new branch is e-con, a subsidiary of the Alois Müller Group, which has been working for renewable energies for more than 15 years and sees itself as a partner for the energy turnaround. “Our central task is to minimize the energy requirements of buildings and facilities as far as possible without restricting user comfort. For customers from municipalities, industry and commerce, we develop CO2-neutral energy concepts as well as sustainable and highly efficient heat supplies that conserve resources and optimize energy costs.” points e-con executive committee Peter Waizenegger out. Extensive knowledge in the planning of technical building systems from the basic analysis to the implementation planning to the monitoring, optimization and testing of the implementation round off the profile of e-con.
Customers in the Biberach region also benefit from the innovative production conditions at the Green Factory in Ungerhausen. “We can pre-assemble all components and assemblies there under top production conditions, which then only have to be installed on site at the customer’s premises. This high level of pre-assembly enables us to achieve a unique level of quality from which our customers benefit. In this way, projects can be realized in a more cost- and energy-efficient way than if welding still had to be carried out on the construction site,” explains Huchler.
