As part of the project meeting on the current status of the model project Energiewende Unterallgäu Nordwest, Managing Director Andreas Müller warmly welcomed the visit to the energy centre, where the entire energy management of the plant in Ungerhausen and the neighbouring industrial plants is controlled.
On site, the delegation gained an impression of the sustainable processes and advanced energy efficiency in the almost energy self-sufficient factory. In addition, the visitors were able to experience “live” how sustainable, CO2-neutral production environments can be implemented in practice. “For many companies, the future will be all about combining flexible and energy-efficient systems.
Because once the challenges of digital change are over, companies will be heralding a sustainable ecological and resource-saving change. This is already noticeable for us today. Our Green Factory concept is already 100 percent effective,” summarizes Managing Director Andreas Müller.
The largest almost energy self-sufficient production and office building in the world is currently under construction: the Alois Müller Group is building its new Green Factory on an area of 18,000 m². The company’s approx. 4,000 m² Green Factory, which has already existed since 2012, will be expanded by a further 10,000 m² of additional production and storage space, as well as another 4,000 m² for offices, administration, training and a canteen.
