Many years of expertise under a new name: Hedisa Haustechnik GmbH with headquarters in Stuttgart is now called Alois Müller GmbH. Already in May 2018, the Alois Müller Group (Memmingen) had taken over the Swabian plant and heating constructor as well as expert for water technology within the scope of a succession arrangement. With the renaming of the company, Alois Müller, one of the leading specialists for plant engineering, energy and building services engineering, is sending a clear signal that the subsidiary belongs to the nationwide operating group of companies.
“I am proud that we have finally completed the integration and that Hedisa Haustechnik GmbH now also bears the name Alois Müller. This will enable us to present an even more united front to our customers on the market, especially in the Stuttgart area. The change of name makes it even clearer that we are bundling our competencies under a common roof,” explains Andreas Müller, Managing Director of the Alois Müller Group. By taking over the former Hedisa Haustechnik GmbH, the Memmingen-based energy specialist had not only expanded its market area, but also its competencies to include the areas of irrigation, irrigation and water technology. In total, the Alois Müller Group employs over 600 people at twelve locations in Germany.
The merger of competencies is bearing fruit, as two current projects show: Alois Müller GmbH has equipped Porsche Plant 2 at the Stuttgart location for an energy-efficient future. The energy specialists installed a 1,700 kW district heating station and a 910 kW refrigerating machine at Porsche. They also took over the sanitary installations in a new building at Porsche, a hybrid building combining production and logistics as well as a guest canteen and cafeteria.
At TÜV Süd in Heimsheim, also in the Stuttgart metropolitan region, Alois Müller GmbH installed the entire building services systems for the largest mobility laboratory in Europe. In addition to the systems for water, wastewater, gas, heating and ventilation, the plant, energy and building specialists also supplied the measurement and control technology for the vehicle test benches. “We had a tight schedule with a construction period of just under eight months. Here, our joint years of expertise of Hedisa and Alois Müller in the field of technical building equipment was worth its weight in gold. Ultimately, of course, our customer TÜV Süd was the main beneficiary of this,” Andreas Müller explains.
The fact that time-critical projects with short construction phases, such as the one at TÜV Süd, can be completed on time is due not only to the bundled expertise within the Alois Müller Group, but also to the high degree of prefabrication. This is made possible by the “Green Factory”, the group’s almost energy self-sufficient production and office building. At the production site in Ungerhausen (Allgäu) the Alois Müller Group can pre-assemble all components and assemblies. “And this under top production conditions,” emphasized Andreas Müller. At the customer’s construction site on site, the components and assemblies then only have to be installed. “Our customers not only benefit from a particularly high level of quality, but projects can also be implemented more efficiently,” the Managing Director of the Alois Müller Group continues.
What makes the “Green Factory” so special is its energy concept: The 18,000 m2 production and office building in Ungerhausen is operated almost energy self-sufficiently by means of a photovoltaic system, a combined heat and power unit (CHP) and a pellet heating system powered by renewable resources. The “Green Factory” has a symbolic character beyond the Allgäu region in terms of energy and cost efficiency as well as sustainability, and is exemplary for the topics of demand side management and sector coupling.
