The reason for the visit of the Bavarian State Minister of Economics:
Energy and technology was an exchange of ideas with Managing Director Andreas Müller about the particularly sustainable and almost energy self-sufficient factory that is currently being built in Ungerhausen in the Lower Allgäu region. The new Green Factory 2.0 of the Alois Müller Group has an approximately 10,000 m² photovoltaic system with a total output of 1.1 MW, which supplies the new 18,000 m² office and production building with 90 percent of the energy required for electricity, cooling, heat and compressed air. The last ten percent is covered by a combined heat and power unit (CHP). This reduces energy costs and CO2 emissions to zero.
However, Managing Director Andreas Müller is not only focusing on sustainability when it comes to energy, but also when it comes to mobility.
On the company premises in Ungerhausen, a total of 10 charging points with up to 150 kW for electric vehicles, which are freely accessible, have been created. This means that the battery of an electric vehicle can be recharged within 20 minutes. The charging stations receive their energy from the company’s own photovoltaic system and are therefore CO2-neutral in two respects. “Electromobility is an important and future-oriented topic. The charging stations are located in the immediate vicinity of the A96 motorway and are therefore also attractive for all drivers of electric cars travelling on the motorway between Munich and Lindau”, shows the State Minister Pschierer. “In the long term we want to convert our entire fleet of vehicles to e-vehicles. We are already creating the necessary basis for this step in Ungerhausen,” explains Andreas Müller.
