Alois Müller secures order for sustainable new HENSOLDT building in Oberkochen
The sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT is planning a new production and administration site in Oberkochen by 2025 and is relying on the comprehensive expertise of the Alois Müller Group.
In addition to self-protection systems and periscopes for armored vehicles, the company also produces submarine periscopes as well as laser and measuring units for applications in space and semiconductor manufacturing at the Oberkochen site.
For the new building, we will implement the heating, cooling, sanitary, ventilation, media, sprinkler, I&C and photovoltaic trades.
The special feature: no fossil fuels will be used in the project. The building is heated by 20 air conditioning systems and heating/cooling ceilings, which are supplied by electric boilers and geothermal heat pumps. The energy required for this is generated by an 8,000 m² photovoltaic system on the roof. The building has a total length of 250 meters and a height of 27 meters.
Within the new building there are two office complexes, a reception and office complex, two production areas, a warehouse and logistics area, a canteen with a roof terrace and a campus area.
