Alois Müller apprentices set an example for environmental protection and sustainability
Ungerhausen/Ottobeuren. The Alois Müller Group attaches great importance to the issue of sustainability. As a future-oriented company, the focus is always on sustainable action and the careful use of resources. The Green Factory in Ungerhausen shows how a CO2-neutral production environment can be realized in practice.
As a visible sign of the sustainable corporate culture, a tree planting campaign already took place last year in November in the Alois Müller company forest at Brüchlins, where 1,200 trees were planted together with customers and business partners. Now the apprentices of the Alois Müller Group were also invited to lend a hand and make a contribution against climate change.
On the neighboring meadow area of the Alois Müller company forest, the apprentices planted a total of 80 woody plants under the supervision of Peter Guggenberger-Waibel from the KulturLandschaft Günztal Foundation and built a deer browsing protection fence around it. The planting action is a further step of the Alois Müller Group towards sustainability and social commitment. In addition, the planting of a wetland swale and a nesting mound will still take place in the next few days.
“We are very happy that the Alois Müller GmbH is involved in the great task of biodiversity protection. The Stiftung KulturLandschaft Günztal wants to promote and improve biodiversity. In the apprentices’ planting action today, we are in the process of producing a species-rich forest edge top”, says Peter Guggenberger-Waibel, Günztal area supervisor and project manager of the foundation.
In addition to raising awareness on the topic of environmental and climate protection, the apprentice planting campaign is also intended to strengthen the apprentices’ understanding of nature and sustainability. “For us, it is important that our trainees not only get a feel for sustainable techniques and energies, but furthermore understand the entire energy flow and develop a sense for resource-conserving handling,” emphasized Patrick Krattenmacher, training manager of the Alois Müller Group, during the planting campaign.
