Alois Müller Group helps refugees from Ukraine
New home found in Westerheim
In the past few days, the first refugees from Ukraine have arrived in Unterallgäu. So also in Westerheim. In the former “Hieber” inn, which Alois Müller GmbH has converted into employee accommodation for fitters and subcontractors. For now five women and four children have found their temporary new home here. With high pressure, the employees of Alois Müller GmbH have completed the premises in recent days to give the refugees an appropriate accommodation.
“The current development in Ukraine worries me enormously and I hope that there will be a quick return back and that the weapons will be laid down. Thanks to many hard-working helpers, the free accommodation was completed on time and we were also able to accommodate relatives of our employees and customers there. It was important to me to offer fast and unbureaucratic help within the scope of our possibilities”, said Andreas Müller, CEO of the Alois-Müller-Group.
Mayor Christa Bail welcomed the new citizens and assured their support. “How good that the inn can once again accommodate guests and show hospitality,” the mayor said in her welcome. The refugee families come from Memmingen’s Ukrainian twin city of Chernihiv and are very grateful for the help and assistance they have received so far in this extremely difficult situation.
